dc.description.abstract Anatomical study surveyed 11 tribes of family Gramineae provided by 31 species of 22 genera. Fruit anatomy is one of the significant taxonomic tools that recently used. Caryopsis fruit of grasses represents an important source of starch-rich food. Sections of each taxa fruit were examined, measured, photographed and line drawings supported. The main parts of a section are seed coat cells, aleurone layer and the starch endosperm. The cotyledon cells, scutellum, are also defined in various types. Different section dimensions were measured, generally the section dimensions found to be related in some means to the fruit size en_US
