Pollen grains are usually radially symmetrical, isopolar, triporate and sub-oblate to spheroidal. Sexine thinner than nexine. Tectum echinate. On the basis of polar length two distinct pollen types viz., Melhania denhamii-type and Melhania futteyporensis-type are recognized. en_US
