Abstract:
Two new species of the genus Tylenchorhynchus Cobb, 1913 from India are described and illustrated. T. clavus n. sp. differs from closely related species viz., T. crassicaudatus Williams, 1960;T. clavicauda Seinhorst,
1968; T. tarjani Andrassy, 1969; T. neoclavicaudatus Mathur, Sanwal & Lal, 1979 and T. leviterminalis Siddiqi, Mukerji & Dasgupta, 1982, in relative body length, spear length, shape of basal knobs and certain other characters. T. projectus n. sp. comes close to T. ewingiHopper, 1959; T. mashhoodi Siddiqi & Basir, 1959; T. silvaticus Ferris, 1963; T zeae Sethi & Swarup, 1968 and T. chirchikensis Mavlianov, 1978 but differs in shape of spear knobs, relative tail length and number of tail annules among other characters
