OCCURRENCE OF VERTICILLIUM CHLAMYDOSPORIUM AN EGG PARASITE OF ROOT-KNOT NEMATODES MELOIDOGYNE JAVANICA AND M. INCOGNITA IN PAKISTAN

Abstract

Verticillium chlamydosporium has been found infecting eggs and egg-masses of rootknot nematodes, eloidogyne incognita and M. javanica on brinjal in the greenhouse of the National Nematological Research Centre, University of Karachi. Verticillium chlamydosporium, as an egg parasite of root-knot nematodes is reported for the first time in Pakistan.
