dc.description.abstract Specimens of one new and a known Paralongidorus species were collected from soil around the roots of citrus (Citrus spp.) from Faisalabad, Pakistan. P. lemoni n.sp., is distinguished from other species of the genus Paralongidorus by a combination of characters: offset knob-like head, body and odontostyle length (length = 2.8-3.8 mm; odontostyle = 61.6 – 68 um); tail conoid with rounded terminus; guiding ring 32 – 36.8 um from anterior end. Paralongidorus major Verma, 1973 recorded for the first time in Pakistan in redescribed and illustrated herein. SEM micrographs and photomicrographs of both species are also included. en_US
