Abstract:
Effects of cadusafos (nematicide), Paecilomyces lilacinus (biocontrol agent) and Nemout(R)(biocontrol product) in the control of Meloidogyne javanica on tomato and eggplant were compared. In pot experiments, cadusafos @ 15 and 45 mg/pot totally suppressed the nematode reproduction on both the hosts, P. lilacinus suppressed nematode reproduction by 65-83% and Nemout(R) by 40-66%. Cadusafos showed maximum reduction in root galling followed by P. lilacinus and Nemout(R) P. lilacinus produced higher fresh weight of root and shoot than cadusafos or Nemout(R)
