Abstract:
A new series of Chromium(lll ) hydroxybridged convounds of general formula [Cr(L) (OH) ] x H O have been synthesised. The infrared spectra have been systematical ly exami ned. The existence of cis and trans isonprs was established by the use of the solid state U.V-Visib1e studies. Low tanperature magnetic moment studies of these compounds confirm hydroxy bridging. In addition to hydroxybridged corrpounds, the tris aspartic and tris serine cmpounds were also prepared. The tris serine compound is anhydrous in contrast to the tris aspartic acid compound. The compound [Cr( Serine)N0 OH] was also prepared.
