A novel and economical method for the synthesis of triphenodioxazines is described. The method involves the oxidative cyclisation of the intermediates 2,5-bis-(arylamino)-3,6- dichlorocyclohexa-2,5-diene-1,4-dione in 95-97% sulphuric acid under microwave heating. |
