Abstract:
N, N'-Bis(benzoyl) terephthalic acid dihydrazide(NA) was synthesized from benzoyl hydrazine and terephthaloyl chloride which was deprived from terephthalic acid via acylation, and the structures of the synthesized compound had been characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, 1H nuclear magnetic resonance techniques. NA reinforced Poly(L-lactic acid)(PLLA) sample was prepared by a melt-mixing technique. With incorporation of NA, the crystallization peak of PLLA became sharper and shift to higher temperature as the degree of supercooling decreased. Non-isothermal crystallization behavior indicated that the presence of NA accelerated the overall PLLA crystallization. Upon the addition of 2% NA, the crystallization temperature increased from 105.88°C to 113.32°C, the degree of supercooling deceased from 53.09°C to 38.36°C, and the crystallization enthalpy increased from 1.379 J•g⁻¹ to 30.79 J•g⁻¹ at a cooling rate of 1°C/min from melt.
