dc.description.abstract Continuing our search for new secondary metabolites from various parts of Aegle marmelos (Rutaceae), we have investigated fresh unripe fruits which yielded two pyridylamides named marmamide-A (1) and -B (2) along with N-benzoyltyramine methyl ether. Both the pyridylamides have been obtained for the first time from any natural source while Nbenzoyltyramine methyl ether is reported as a a new source. All the constituents have been isolated from ethanol soluble part of fresh unripe fruits and their structures were established with the aid of NMR spectroscopy including 2D NMR. en_US
