dc.description.abstract An efficient and simplified protocol for three component Mannich reaction of indoles in water without using any catalyst is described. Different functionalized indole Mannich base synthesized in relatively short time with moderate to good yields. The advantages of this methodology are higher selectivity, simplicity, and shorter reaction time. To the best of our knowledge this is the first green protocol for indole Mannich base reaction. en_US
