Islamic jurisprudence derives its philosophy and principles from the basic sources of Shriah; the Holy Qur'an and Hadith (The saying, doing and approval of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). The preservation of Hadith literature provides scholars with a body of knowledge comprising Hadith text, and the Hadith Sciences lay down criteria to judge and evaluate the authenticity and validity of Tradition. The founder classical jurists of Islam have been extremely careful in accepting (or sidelining) a Hadith; especially when it comes to the important and delicate decisions of Islamic law .
In this regard Hanafi School of Fiqh has been unique, among other schools. After having concluded external and internal criticism on a particular tradition, a Hanafi Jurist would prefer to judge the Hadith text by comparing it with text of Qur'an. In case of any discrepency he would give up Hadith and will opt for Qur'anic text as basis of legal opinion. With this orientation, Ahnaaf have developed thier own principles for acceptance and rejection of riwayat. Since this treatment of Hadith is somewhat different to other schools of Fiqh, the topic has been centre of discussion among scholars, same is the following study titled as:
