Pakistani Urdu Novel Main Pasmanda Tabqy Kay Masail Tajziati Mutaala (1947 to 2015)

Abstract

The last century in marked with remarkable fiction writing. The novel writing has touched prominent trends for its contents and styles in its evolutionary process. The versatility of the subject matter and style has made the novel a popular genre in the realm of Urdu Literature. Therefore, we find circles into circles of thought and art in the field of Urdu Novel in more than a hundred years history. Some novels deal with the subject matter of landlord system where there the subject matter is injustice oppression, cruelty and aggression upon the poor peasants. The problems of peasants and other backward sects has always been the subject matter of the novel writing since its inception to the present age. These poor people represent labor devotion and love for their country and the novels reflect the troubles and tribulations under which they have to undergone. Neither they get their fair rights nor they can enjoy self respect. The landlords as well as the mill owners have always played the role of blood suckers of the peasants as well as the laborers. In the earlier period the work of criticism with reference to the novel was very little. However after the establishment of Pakistan, the criticism with reference to the novel started and afterwards a lot of books and research papers were published which highlighted many corners of Urdu novel writing. The analytical study and research as regard with the peasants and laborers and other poor sects of the society has been an essential topic of the novel. The topic of this research paper has been selected having in view the studies of analytical and research aspect. There has been no systematic work at academic level upon this subject however the scattered matter was present in different books, magazines, speeches and articles. So, the systematic and self oriented material has been collected in this research paper. The problems of peasants and laborers and backward social sects have been reflected in the novel also. The analysis and understanding of these problems can be helpful in better understanding of the novel and the completion of this new angle in Urdu literature. Realizing the Importance of this aspect of novel this topic has been chosen as there has been no systematic work yet and it will pave the way to better understanding of Pakistani literature.
